Split-screen multitasking comes to the Apple iPad in iOS 8?

When a new jail break "tweak" called OS Experience is allowing for Apple iPad users have fun with split-screen multitasking, new rumours has Apple adding the feature to iOS 8. Currently, users of Apple's iOS flavored slate could only view one application at the time, using the entire real estate available on the screen. If the rumor pans out, those with an iPad will be able to split the screen to use multiple applications at the similar time.

This is not the latest feature by any stretch of the creative imagination, as some Samsung tablets, and the Microsoft Surface already offer this type of multitasking. The fact that the iPad lacks multitasking, was highlighted by Microsoft in some of its television commercials that compared Apple's tablet to the Surface. If you are wondering how this split-screen multitaking might work, check out the idea video, which is part of the video slideshow below.

According to the rumor, the split-screen feature could be available on full-sized, 9.7 inch iPads, and would work only in landscape orientation. Other new features expected for iOS 8 include the Healthbook application, which would give you a place to store all of the medical information and readings obtained by an Apple iWatch or other iOS devices. Also a possibility on the next iOS build, is a public transit feature for Apple Maps. But don't get too excited. There is talk that these new capabilities for iOS might have to be scrubbed until iOS 8.1.

Latest leak shows completely redesigned iPhone 6 in space gray, gold and silver

Another dummy. We have recently received new images showing what looks to be a gold iPhone 6 mockup pictured next to another two color variations that Apple presently offers. As described, this is absolutely a dummy model, but it is also the 1st time we have seen a gold one.

The camera cut-out on the light colored models look a little but odd, but again these are dummy units and we never expect them to completely reflect the genuine design. Along with that, the Space Gray and Silver models look to have a gold Touch ID ring which is also a bit out of place. Either way, they are absolutely fun to look at. Rumors would suggest that Apple’s iPhone 6 will feature a 4.7-inch display and possibly a 5.5-inch variation, borrow design features from the fifth generation iPod touch, and feature resigned buttons. At this point, we have seen just about every rumored render, mockup, and schematic relating to Apple’s upcoming iPhone 6.

These images are consistent with previous rumors, but we won’t know what Apple’s official design will look like until later this coming year. It’s likely that these models were designed based on rumored schematics and specifications, but the design does match up with previous photos.

Could This iPhone 6 Be The Most Accurate Mock-up Yet?

Well-known Dutch designer and concept artist Martin Hajek has designed a new iPhone 6 rendering, which might just be the most accurate one to date.

Hajek had recently joined up with Nowherelse to create a amazing mock-up based on the recently leaked schematics discovered by Macotakara apparently showing the 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch variants of the iPhone 6.

With the recent case leak, Hajek revised his designs to show almost everything we currently know (or think we know) about Apple's next iPhone.

Hajek depicts the iPhone 6 as extremely thin, featuring curved corners, a larger display, and a new Sleep/Wake button, which has been moved to the right side from the handset.

This was based on a research note from KGI Investments analyst Ming-Chi Kuo who suggested that Apple is going to move the button from its current spot on top of the iPhone to help with one-handed use of the larger smartphone.

What do you think of Hajek’s designs? Is this what you hope the iPhone 6 you can look like?

Cordy Sky Apps FREE for iPhone 5s

Cordy Sky is a jumping game where you're an adorable little robot trying to get from the ground of an alien planet to a docked spaceship so you can keep on on your intergalactic mission. Little springy platforms help your ascension, but be cautious, otherwise you drop down to the bottom and have to start all over. Luckily, you have a other robot called Volt that can get you if you drop too far, but only if you've collected the ideal token while ascending skyward. Your trip is split up into five sections, the end of each being marked by a fuel cell you need to get the spaceship running again. Controls are are either through digital buttons, tilt, or swiping.

As you go, you gather gears, which can buy one-time increases, permanent power-ups, or vanity costumes. Of course, you can always just buy gears through in-app purchases, but you can get by perfectly well on your own. Despite the kiddy graphics, the game is basically pretty complicated at points.

Apple Airs New 'Powerful' iPhone 5s ad

Apple has this night posted a new TV commercial for the iPhone 5s to its YouTube channel. The ad, which was spotted airing during tonight's episode of ABC's 'Providers of SHIELD,' touts the handset's skill to transform into a useful tool for people in various lines of work.

Arranged to the tune of "Gigantic," by the Pixies, the spot shows iPhone 5s managers using the gadget to do items like play music, control stage lighting in a theater, make short movies, create art installations and much more. The tagline of the ad is 'You're more powerful than you think.'

Interestingly enough, this is Apple's first commercial for the iPhone 5s since the 'Misunderstood' spot that aired throughout the holidays. It seems as though the company has given marketing priority to the iPad and iPhone 5c, the latter of which is believed to be selling poorly.

Anyway, there isn’t much to note about the 'Powerful' advert itself. It's pretty standard for Apple these days—very reminiscent of the 'Your Verse' iPad campaign. If anything, it seems almost too safe of a play, particularly for a company that’s worried it’s losing an advertising battle.

How WhatsApp Got To Be Worth $19 Billion?

WhatsApp, the super-popular messaging app, has once again come under the spotlight, and became a sensation all over again as Facebook moves to bid $19 Billion for its acquisition. The deal is all but done, making it Facebook's biggest ever purchase, and the second-biggest tech-acquisition of all time. So what is it that makes WhatsApp so special? Let's take a look at the story behind WhatsApp, which is one of the most incredible and

motivational success stories of this age.
According to sources, Facebook has agreed to pay $4 Billion in cash, and $12 Billion in Stock. In addition, a sum of $3 Billion is to be paid to the WhatsApp CEO and staff. The deal is set to be finalized later this year, failing which Facebook will have to pay $1 Billion as recompense.

The story behind WhatsApp

The story of WhatsApp is one of hard work and dedication, of taking risks and entrepreneurship. Jan Koum, the founder of WhatsApp - and soon to be a billionaire - is yet another example of college dropout successes.

Born and raised in Kiev, Ukraine, Koum lived a simple, ordinary life. His father was a construction manager, and the family somehow managed to eke out a living from a meager income. At age 16, he along with his mother migrated to Mountain View due to the troubled political and anti-Semitic environment back home. The father couldn't make it over.

They got a small apartment through government assistance. To make ends meet, his mother took up babysitting, and Koum started sweeping the floor of a grocery store.

Meanwhile, Koum keep at educating himself - while still at school - and learned computer networking from the books he used to borrow. His prowess led him to the San Jose State University, and to Ernst & Young as a security tester. Soon, he interviewed at Yahoo and got a job as an infrastructure engineer while still at San Jose, which he dropped out of two weeks later. It was during his time at Yahoo that he met and befriended Brian Actor, WhatsApp co-founder.

Both left Yahoo in 2007, and applied for a job at Facebook. They were rejected.

Koum bought an iPhone in 2009, and instantly realized that the seven-month old App Store was about to spawn a whole new industry of apps. Hence, the idea of WhatsApp was born. At this point, both Acton and Koum were jobless. So Koum had to spend what money he had saved from his work at Yahoo on building and running his simple app, which has now become the most popular messaging app in the world.

The competition

If you look over closely at some of the competitors, you will see that none of them were valued even half as much. Facebook offered to buy Snapchat last month for $3 Billion, which was rejected. The popular IM and Voice calling service Skype was purchased by Microsoft for $7.5 Billion. However, most surprising of all, WhatsApp's closest competitor, Viber was recently sold for a meager $900 Million to a Japanese company.

Guess the previous Viber owners have something to think about now.

Terrible revealing about iPhone protection leads to people being fewer protected. Good job, media channels!

Yesterday evening I obtained an e-mail from a viewers who, despite seeking an iPhone 5s, made the decision she wasn't going to get it after seeing an content about Contact ID being "hacked" and determining it wasn't secure. I observed from another audience who saw a identical content and so made the decision to convert of Contact ID. Not substitute it with a powerful security password, thoughts you, but basically convert it off and go returning to nothing. They were certainly not the only individuals who have been puzzled, wrong, and eventually harm by the rubbish that's moving for technological innovation confirming when it comes to iOS 7 and the iPhone 5s. It's some of the dumbest I've ever seen, and it's in an place that's so essential it requirements the least quantity of foolish journalistically possible. Here's the fact about iOS 7, the iPhone 5s, and Get in touch with ID:

  •     Comfort and protection sit at reverse finishes of the variety. The more practical something is, the less protected, and viceversa. You can't have both.
  •     iOS 7 contains a lot of new functions to improve convenience or protection. It's up to us, the customers, to choose which one is more important to us at some point.
  •     Advantages like Secure display accessibility for Siri and Management Middle are super simple to convert off.
  •     Peace of mind by means of lengthy, pseudo unique security passwords are super simple to convert on.
  • Here are some illustrations of the benefit vs. protection spectrum;
  •     Revealed iPhone can be accesses by anyone, whenever they want, put in Aircraft Method, used to play Sweets Grind, whatever.
  •     iPhone with Siri and Management Middle available from the Secure Screen but secured by Passcode can be put in Aircraft Method, but can only be utilized by someone with enough efforts and tendency to spy or otherwise uncover out your 4 number rule.
  •     iPhone with Siri and Management Middle available from the Secure Screen but secured by Contact ID can be put in Aircraft Method, but can only be utilized by someone with the expertise and dedication to create a usable bogus finger marks.
  •     iPhone with Siri and Management Middle impaired from the Secure Screen and secured by Contact ID or a Passcode can't be put in Aircraft Method but can be utilized by anyone who can create a bogus finger marks or spy out the Passcode. (It can still be put into a radio-proof package or room, or simply closed off until it can be placed in one.)
  •     iPhone with Siri and Management Middle impaired from the Secure Screen and secured by a lengthy, powerful, pseudo-random security password can't be put in Aircraft Method but can be utilized by anyone who can technique, scare, extort, or otherwise culturally professional the security password.
  •     Any of the above kept in a lock box, secure, container, etc. would need the package be utilized before the product.

Since most people aren't high level threats, and since the iPhone is a consumer electronics device, Apple start off towards the convenience end of the spectrum. Siri and Control Center access from the Lock screen are turned on, and a 4-digit Passcode as default rather than a complex alphanumeric password. Anyone who wants more security can turn off that access and ramp up that password. It'll make their iPhone far less convenient, but it'll also make it far more secure.

But never ignore this: If you have an iPhone, someone, somehow, can get accessibility it if what's on it is useful enough and they want that accessibility poorly enough. The only actual way to secure something is not to have it.

If you're considering an iPhone 5s, don't let rubbish non-stories prevent you. If you've already got one, don't get misled into switching off functions that, overall, offer a excellent stability of comfort and protection. If you're involved about protection, get your cellphone, and allow the functions that let you do what you need to do as safely as possible.

Then go returning to the dumbass websites that mindlessly distribute this type of ridiculous and requirement better from them. Or just prevent them and also out here on iMore.

Either way, they'll go where your clicks/taps are.

Facebook Publishers see 1,790% increased earnings on iOS than Android

Ads on iOS gadgets created profits nearly two purchases of scale greater than those on their Android operating system alternatives, according to a new research by significant public marketing company Nanigans.

The study, first revealed by VentureBeat, monitored more than 200 billion dollars Facebook or myspace ads from over 100 promoters on Nanigans' system through the first nine months of 2013. Nanigans is one of the biggest customers of marketing on Facebook or myspace.

According to the review, it expenses only a minor top quality to position Facebook or myspace ads on iOS gadgets--$4.99 per million opinions (CPM) compared to $4.87 for Android operating system. Regular cpc (CPC), or the amount an marketer will pay when a user mouse clicks one of those ad opinions, is extremely more different, however. Advertisers pay $0.18 per simply just click Android operating system against $0.40 per simply just click iOS.

That difference carries on on the income side of the formula, the review says. Revenue per just click (RPC) is placed at 6 periods greater on iOS, while revenue (ROI) is 18 periods greater.

Despite the low CPM and CPC numbers, marketing on Android operating system actually results in adverse ROI --- it expenses promoters more money to position the ads than they make, to the track of a 10 % loss, according to the review. iOS ads, meanwhile, bring healthy profits of more than 160 %.

"Audiences price more on iPhone, and the reason is that it's worth it," Nanigans SVP Dan Slagen said. "Typically, we're not looking to obtain one-time customers, we're looking to get eventually; so we pay more up front for better long-term results."

Apple launches iPhone industry-in system in European countries

Overdue last week, infodonner involved a gossip that the iPhone Recycling and Reuse System would be making its way to Western nations “in the arriving several weeks.” As it changes out, the arriving several weeks was not soon enough. Whether or not that was the unique plan, this method was made available in the UK and other Western nations beginning Thursday for anyone looking to reduce costs on an iPhone update at the The apple company Store. The apple company has yet to provide a list of all the nations which will be able to join in this method, but The apple company Shops in both the UK and Malaysia have been revealed to be taking deals now. The iPhone Recycling and Reuse System will presumably make its way throughout Western nations in the weeks following this very first launch.
