Ads on iOS gadgets created profits nearly two purchases of scale greater than those on their Android operating system alternatives, according to a new research by significant public marketing company Nanigans.
The study, first revealed by VentureBeat, monitored more than 200 billion dollars Facebook or myspace ads from over 100 promoters on Nanigans' system through the first nine months of 2013. Nanigans is one of the biggest customers of marketing on Facebook or myspace.
According to the review, it expenses only a minor top quality to position Facebook or myspace ads on iOS gadgets--$4.99 per million opinions (CPM) compared to $4.87 for Android operating system. Regular cpc (CPC), or the amount an marketer will pay when a user mouse clicks one of those ad opinions, is extremely more different, however. Advertisers pay $0.18 per simply just click Android operating system against $0.40 per simply just click iOS.
That difference carries on on the income side of the formula, the review says. Revenue per just click (RPC) is placed at 6 periods greater on iOS, while revenue (ROI) is 18 periods greater.
Despite the low CPM and CPC numbers, marketing on Android operating system actually results in adverse ROI --- it expenses promoters more money to position the ads than they make, to the track of a 10 % loss, according to the review. iOS ads, meanwhile, bring healthy profits of more than 160 %.
"Audiences price more on iPhone, and the reason is that it's worth it," Nanigans SVP Dan Slagen said. "Typically, we're not looking to obtain one-time customers, we're looking to get eventually; so we pay more up front for better long-term results."
